Philip Lomax is a man with ambition. Getting ahead in business doesn’t leave much time for fun. Relationships aren’t part of his plan, and falling in love will have to wait.

Go-go dancer and all-round bad boy Ben is his polar opposite but they can’t seem to leave each other alone.

While Philip’s certain nothing can come of it, Ben is determined to prove Philip isn’t as strait-laced as he appears. Will opposites attract in this standalone contemporary romance?

Party Time — My Second Anniversary #Prizes

Two years ago today, I left my day job for the last time. I’d been published just shy of two years by that point (my first book, Blood & Ash, was released on 26th June 2011), I had a #1 LGBT title under my belt (What He Wants), and I was feeling frustrated enough with my job brave enough to take the plunge.

Roundup: LGBT #PushBack Fundraiser

So, it’s over. 224 authors, bloggers, and publishers of LGBT fiction clubbed together to reward anyone who could give a little bit of time or money to charity over the past two weeks. 161 people took us up on those offers and we conservatively estimate we raised over $1000 for various LGBT charities all over the world.

rainbowpizza2-300x217 Roundup: LGBT #PushBack Fundraiser

All the donors have now been contacted, and should be getting in touch with their winner(s) this week. Everybody who participated won at least one book/gift card (some lucky people won two, so don’t panic if a second author contacts you!). If you entered the Rafflecopter and haven’t heard anything within a week, please contact me (author at kateaaron dot com), AJ Rose (ajrosefiction at gmail dot com), or Meredith King (diversereader at yahoo dot com) and we’ll chase up your donor to make sure there isn’t a problem. (Equally, if you’re a donating author/blogger/publisher and you haven’t heard from us, please send an email!)

Don’t forget to check your junk/spam folder!

To everyone who took part, everyone who shared the links and read the post and gave their time, money, and books to give something back, thank you. The money we’ve earned over the last few weeks will make a huge difference to so many lives, providing food, shelter, and support to people in desperate need, and that’s something we can all be proud of 😀

Waxing Lyrical

If you’re interested to hear my opinion on self-publishing, I’m over at Jay Northcote’s blog today, talking about how and why I do that thing I do.

And don’t forget the LGBT Push Back Fundraiser is still happening! We’re creeping up on 100 entrants, and there’s still plenty of time to lend your support to this wonderful charity initiative. Follow the link for a free, exclusive story by AJ Rose.

giveaway-poster-300x225 200 Authors. 2 Weeks. 1 Massive #Fundraiser

From today until 1st May, a collective of 224 authors, bloggers, and publishers of LGBT fiction are giving back to anyone prepared to give a little to charity. Rather than spending $5 on a book in the next two weeks, please consider donating that $5 to an LGBT charity of your choice, tell us about it, and go into our massive draw to receive a book in return. It’s our little way of saying thank you to everyone who supports our community.

Hop on over to DiverseReader to take part!

Calling All #Authors of #LGBT Fiction

rainbowpizza2-300x217 Calling All #Authors of #LGBT Fiction

I love the LGBT community. I love our idealism, our optimism, our faith in a future that will get better. I love that we’re not afraid to stand up and fight to make the future better. I love how we look after our own, take kids in off the streets when their own parents don’t want them anymore, and are prepared to do battle all the way through the highest courts in every land to make our voices heard. I also love our allies, and the wonderful crossover community that is M/M. We are more than a genre, more than a disparate group of individuals. As a collective, we are righteous force to be reckoned with. Continue reading →
